MACROLIDE (azithromycin, clarithromycin, erythromycin)
*doxycycline (weak rec.)
OP treatment of CAP
Presence of comorbidities (inc.use of antimicrobials w/in the past 3 mos.)
RESP.FLUOROQUINOLONE (moxifloxacin, gemifloxacin, levofloxacin)
Alternative:
b-lactam + macrolide (high dose amox. or augmentin preferred).
