What is lochia?
- -superficial decidual layer sloughed off after delivery
- -Lochia rubra--> 7 days (if continues past 7 days, piece of placenta may be attached)
- -Lochia serosa--> 7-14 days
- -Lochia Alba--> clear vaginal d/c
- **Duration--> 33 days
When does the cervical exernal os close after delivery? Internal os?

Ext. os-->1 week (FT)

Int. os--> 6 weeks (if still open, consider placental fragments)
When does the lower uterine segment return to normal?

-1-2 weeks
