    • STOP-OCTAGON
    • This eight-sided sign means just what it says-STOP.  You must stop at a marked stop line or crosswalk on the pavement if there is one.  If there is no stop line or crosswalk, stop before the unmarked crossing area.  If there are no pedestrians, pull forward until you can see traffic you can see traffic coming from your left and right, but before you get into the intersection.  You may continuously drive through the intersection or enter the intersection and make your turn, after looking both ways for oncoming traffic. Yield right of way to traffic in the intersection or close enough to be a hazard.
