    • 1. Hyperkalemia
    • 2. Hypocalcemia
    • 3. Hypermagnesemia
    • 4. Calcium channel blocker toxicity
  3. CALCIUM CHLORIDE / ELECTROLYTE Contraindications
    • 1. VFIB
    • 2. Hypercalcemia
    • 3. Possible digitalis toxicity
  4. CALCIUM CHLORIDE / ELECTROLYTE Precautions
    • - May precipitate toxicity in patients taking digoxin
    • - Ensure the IV line is in a large vein and flushed before and after using calcium
  5. CALCIUM CHLORIDE / ELECTROLYTE Dosage/Route
    2 - 4 mg/kg IV (10% solution)/10 min as needed
