General Duties
- provide prompt notice
- cooperate
- submit legal papers
- submit to a physical exam if requested
- agree to an examination under oath
- authorize release of pertinent medical records to the insurer
- submit a proof of loss
Additional Duties for UM
- notify police if hit-and-run driver was involved
- submit legal papers to the insurer
Additional Duties for PD
- take reasonable steps to prevent further loss
- notify police if the covered auto is stolen
- permit inspection and appraisal of the damaged property
