Mechanism of Action
- Binds to opiate receptors in the brain to block narcotics from binding to the receptors, blocking the narcotics effects.
- Displaces narcotic molecules from opiate receptors.
- Can reverse respiratory depression associated with narcotic overdose.

Precautions
- May cause withdrawel effects in Pts dependant on narcotics.
- Short acting - should be augmented every 5 minutes.
