bacteria shows no motion

in an aqueous environment bacteria seem to be moving erectly but are non-motile. results from random motion of the water molecules  bombarding the bacteria causing them to move.

Corkscrew and bending-type motion

• 1. with a toothpick draw a circle with vaseline on a slide.
• 2. with a in0culating loop drop the culture on a cover slip
• 3. move slip down to the coverslip 
• 4. turn slide over carefully
