Contraindications
2nd & 3rd degree heart block
Severe conduction system disturbances
CHF
Should be avoided in Pts with prolonged QT syndrome

Monitor CNS toxicity
Hypotension (with IV infusion)
Monitor BP
Hypotensive effects may increase if given with antiypertensive meds
Chance of neurotoxicity if given with Lidocaine

Adult Dose
20 - 50 mg/min until arrythmia suppressed.

Hypotension
QRS complex widened by 50%
Total of 17 mg/kg given
Slow IV bolus
: 20 mg/kg followed by maintenance infusion.
Maintenance Infusion
: 1 - 4 mg/min
