    he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement..she may go and be another man's [wife]..latter husband hate her..Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled
  2. Jer.3:1
    They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.

    And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except [it be] for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
