  29. Anticonvulsants Indications
    Indicated for various types of epilepsy and other seizure disorders.  Carbamezepine is also indicated for symptomatic pain relief for trigeminal neuralgia.  Carbamezepine, valproic acid and divalproex sodium are also indicated for bipolar disorders.  Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity.  Carbamazepine, valproic acid and divalproex sodium are also contraindicated in patients with liver disease. Carbamazepine is also contraindicated in patients taking MAO inhibitors.
  30. Stimulants Indications
    Indicated for Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. Contraindicated in patients with anxiety,  agitation, thyrotoxicosis, tachyarrhythmias, severe angina pectoris, glaucoma, motor tics or Tourette’s syndrome.
