    past 100.4 for 24 hours.

    16-24
  3. What is normal pulse for post partum? When should you report?
    50-90/min. 100/min
  4. What do you look for in breasts?
    • breast feeding?
    • nipples, redness, cracks...
    • engorgement/tenderness
  5. What do you look for in uterus?
    palpate top of fundus, firmness, height, position related to midline
  6. What do you look for in bladder?
    How often do you pee? does it burn?
  7. how do you assess the bowel?
    • - bowel sounds.
    • - farting
    • - distension

    • - type, amount, odor
    • - make sure it's the expected findings
    • - c-section may have less lochia

    • - client emotions congruent with situation?
    • - assess for potential psychosocial complications
