- (bodies and tvp of lumbar vertebrae)
Insertion of Psoas Major

Lesser trochanter of femur
Actions of Psoas Major
- With origin fixed: Flexes and laterally rotates thigh at hip
- tilt pelvis anteriorly
- with insertion fixed:
- Flexes trunck towards the thigh
- tilt pelvis anteriorly
Unilaterally:Assist to laterally flex the lumbar spine
Nerve that innervates the Psoas Major
