- necessarily r/o infection because bacteria require 30-45 min to reproduce in urine

How long do you have to be on antibiotics for UTI typically?
- 7-10 day course is standard, however...

What can you do to help prevent UTI?
- Men:
- Urge prompt treatment of predisposing conditions (chronic prostatitis)
- Women:
- Wipe perineum front to back
- Clean thoroughly with soap and water after defecation
- Void after intercourse
- Void frequently
