    • -Anti-diarrheal agent
    • -Serotonin antagonist

    -ONLY FOR SEVERE DIARRHEA - predominant IBS not responsive to usual treatents

    -Can cause ischemic colitis or severe constipation

    -only prescribed by physicians enrolled in prescribing program
  5. Lactulose
    -laxative
  6. Dicyclomine & Hyoscyamine
    -Antispasmodic agent

    -for decreasing contractility of gut for IBS
