    Block serotonin receptors in GI, CTZ, and vomit center of brain
  3. Class of Ondansetron (Zofran)
    • Antiemetic
    • Serotonin Blocker
    • Antiserotonergic
  4. Indications for Ondansetron (Zofran)
    • Chemotherapy induced N&V(give 1st 24-48hrs of chemo)
    • Postop N&V(give 30 min before end of surgery)
    • Hyperemesis gravidas(N&V w/prego)
  5. Contraindications for Ondansetron (Zofran)
    Allergy
  6. Adverse effects of Ondansetron (Zofran)
    • CNS- HA
    • GI- Diarrhea, ↑ in AST & ALT
    • Other- rash, bronchospasm
