    • non-medical doctor

    • They don't care for the eyes.
    • they only read prescriptions and make the corrective lenses.

    using both eyes together

    • A system of 6 embossed dots called cells

    • eye disease

  8. Where is the iris, or what is it?
    • The circular colored membrane
    • behind the cornea

  9. What are zonular fibers?
    • fibers that keep the lens of the eye in place
    • contraction and relaxation of the fibers allow accommodations of the lens

    excessive bilirubin in the blood.

    • yellowing of the whites of the eyes
    • yellowing of skin

    nearsightedness

    continual rolling movement of the eyeballs.

    abnormal intolerance to light

    eye disease of premature infants

    visual screening chart used at schools in regular doctor's offices

    ability to retain a sequence of what is seen
  29. What is figure ground perception?
    ability to distinguish a form or pattern against a distracting background.
