  1. Abnormal Starts
    • 1) Twist Grip - Closed
    • 2) Starter Switch - Secure when TOT <400º
  2. Emergency Engine Shutdown
    • 1) Twist Grip - Closed
    • 2) Fuel Valve - Off
    • 3) Batt Switch - Off
    • 4) Helicopter - egress
  3. Post-Shutdown Fire
    • 1) Starter - On
    • 2) Fuel Valve - Off
    • 3) IGN CB - Pull
    • 4) Starter - Secure when TOT <400º
  4. Engine Oil System Malfunctions
    • CHIP Lights
    • Engine Pressure: airborne, Land as soon as possible
    • Engine Temperature: high: Land as soon as possible
    •                  low/fluctuating: Land as soon as practical
  5. Transmission System Malfunctions
    • Pressure: airborne, Land as soon as possible
    • Temperature: High: Land as soon as possible
    •                       Low/Fluctuating: Land as soon as practical
  6. Imminent Transmission Failure
    • 1) Land immediately (Do not autorotate)
    • 2) Lock harness
  7. Tach-Gen Malfunction
    • Nf/Nr: Land as soon as practical
    • Ng: (non-memory)
    • 1) Monitor engine instruments
    • 2) Avoid high power settings
    • 3) Land as soon as practical
  8. TOT Malfunction
    • (non-memory)
    • 1) Monitor engine instruments
    • 2) Avoid high power settings
    • 3) Land as soon as practical
  9. Overtorque/Overtemp/Overspeed
    1) Land as soon as possible
  10. Torque Malfunction
    • If gauge drops and digital readout confirms:
    • 1) Monitor engine instruments
    • 2) Land as soon as possible

    • If gauge drops and digital readout is off:
    • non-memory item
  11. Smoke/Fume Elimination
    • 1) ECS and Defog Blower: OFF
    • 2) Vents and Windows - Open
    • 3) Slip/Skid to eliminate fumes
    • 4) Land as soon as possible
  12. Suspected Fuel Leakage
    • 1) Land as soon as possible
    • If time and conditions permit:
    • 2) State position and intentions
    • 3) Unnecessary electrical equipment - Secure
  13. Engine Failure
    • 1) Autorotate
    • 2) Shoulder Harness - Lock
    • If time and altitude permit:
    • 3) Mayday - transmit
    • 4) Transponder - emergency
  14. Autorotation
    • 1) Autorotation - establish
    •      a) Collective - Full down immediately
    •      b) Pedals - Center ball
    •      c) Airspeed - 50 kias minimum RoD, 72 kias max end
    •      d) Nr - Maintain 90-107%, 94-95% optimal
    •      e) Heading - turn into wind or towards best landing area
    • 2) Autorotative Landing - Execute
    •      a) Cyclic - Flare as required
    •      b) Collective - Increase as required
    •      c) Cyclid - Level skids prior to touchdown
