What is a Prop root?
Prop roots begin ontop of the ground. Trees that grow in loose, wet soil have prop roots to keep them from blowing down.
What is a Fibrous root?
Fibrous roots look like tree branches. They grow in thick, tangled mats that help in soil erosion. They anchor the plant in the soil.
What is a Taproot?
A single straight root that grows straight down.
What are Root Hairs?
Root Hairs are tiny roots that take in water and nutrients from the soil.
