Set the initial altitude

Cabin Crew Leg Brief
Review the flight release, TPS, weather package, and all pertinent Jeppesen pages
Set communication/navigation frequencies/courses (if required) for departure
Enter FMS routing if PF
When flight paperwork is received

Complete ATC route clearance verification
Ensure GMT correct and enter into ATSU/ACARS the following:
flight number
departure/destination
enroute flight time
payroll numbers
After FMS routing is loaded

Start APU (if not already running)
Verify IRS alignment and position
Approximately 15 minutes prior to departure and after Route Verification completed.

Departure Briefing- Brief if PF
After fuel slip is received.

Before start checklist
When flight release electronic acceptance message is received (approximately 11 minutes prior to departure)

Make welcome aboard announcement
Accomplish jumpseat briefing (if applicable)
Approximately 10 minutes prior to departure

EXT Pwr - Off
Give the POWER OFF/OUT command signal
When ready to disconnect the air and/or power

Establish communications with ground personnel
Approximately 6 minutes prior to departure

Accomplish before pushback flow
After receiving the cabin ready notification and all doors are closed and armed

Start appropriate engine
When cleared to start engine

Accompish after start flow
After ground equipment is clear, first officer verbally acknowledges the captain's wands up signal statement, and engine(s) are stabilized

Flaps-ensure commanded position
After completing the after start flows

Accomplish Taxi Flow
After departing the gate, final weight and balance received, and both engines running

Accomplish before taking the runway flow
Approximately 1-3 minutes prior to taking the runway
