  1. Covelent bond
    • Bond in which the electrons are shared between molecules
    • The stronger molecule has more pull
    • The atoms becom bi polar
  2. Ionic bond
    Bond in which electrons are given or taken between molecules

    • Reduction
  4. The giver molecule
    • becomes positivly charged 
    • oxydation
  5. Hydrogen bond
    • The weak attraction that exist between two or less polar covelent molecules
    • Holds nitrogen bases together in DNA
  6. Adhesive
    • propety of H2O
    • tendency for H2O to stick to other compunds
    • Responsible for meniscus
  7. Meniscus

    • A water property
    • Water molecules attract to each other
    • creating a H20 surface
  9. Capillary action
    movement of H20 wicked up a small diameter tube due to adhesion
  10. Heat capacity
    Capacity of water to resist temp change
