  1. Premaneuver Checklist
    Flight Director/Autopilot ...... Off
  2. Steep Turns
    • The aircraft will be stabilized in level flight at 200 kts (approximately 65% N1). The heading bugshould be used as a reference for completing the turn.• The aircraft will be smoothly rolled into a 45° bank, adding thrust as required to maintain airspeed. As the turn is entered, backpressure should be increased to maintain altitude and trim added asrequired. A pitch attitude of approximately 5° nose up will be required. • Approximately 20° prior to the desired heading, a smooth rollout will be initiated, backpressureshould be slowly released to maintain altitude and thrust reduced to maintain airspeed. Whenrequested or briefed, the PM will respond to specific requests from the PF, i.e.; “CALLOUT 20° PRIOR TO ROLLOUT HEADING”. The PF is normally expected to make power changesthemselves.
  3. Approach to Stall in the Clean Configuration
    • Maintain level flight with aircraft in the clean configuration at 200 kts • Reduce thrust to IDLE • Trim as required until 130 kts • Initiate recovery at first indication of stall • To recover, set and command “SET MAX THRUST” • Adjust aircraft pitch, to regain airspeed (minimum V2) • Minimize altitude loss • Recover to the entry altitude and airspeed CAUTION: If stall buffet is encountered, initially reduce the angle of attack by decreasing thepitch attitude in order to increase the airspeed.
  4. Approach to Stall in the Takeoff Configuration
    • Maintain level flight at 200 kts • Command “FLAPS 9” • Reduce power to IDLE • At 140 kts roll into a 20° bank • Trim as required until 120 kts • Initiate recovery at the first indication of stall • To recover, set and command “SET MAX THRUST” • Adjust aircraft pitch, to regain airspeed (minimum V2) while rolling wings level • Minimize altitude loss • At recovery altitude and 145 kts, command “FLAPS ZERO” • Recover to the entry altitude and airspeed CAUTION: If stall buffet is encountered, initially reduce the angle of attack by decreasing thepitch attitude in order to increase the airspeed.
  5. Approach to Stall in the Landing Configuration
    • Maintain level flight at 200 kts • Command “FLAPS 9”, “GEAR DOWN” • Set power at 55% N1 • Select Flaps 22, then below 145 kts select Flaps 45 • Trim as required until 120 kts • Recover at the first indication of stall • To recover, set and command “SET MAX THRUST, FLAPS 9” • Adjust aircraft pitch, to regain airspeed (minimum VREF) • Minimize altitude loss • With a positive climb, command “GEAR UP” • Climb to the entry altitude at 145 kts. Upon leveling at the entry altitude, command “FLAPSZERO”• Recover to the entry altitude and airspeed CAUTION: If stall buffet is encountered, initially reduce the angle of attack by decreasing thepitch attitude in order to increase the airspeed.
