  1. Who is the Commander of the national armed forces?
    The President.

    They handle the vast majority of civil and criminal cases in the US.

    make up the judiciary branch of federal government of the US.

    The Supreme Court
  18. What is a litigant?
    a courtroom lawyer.
  19. What is an indictment?
    a formal document written for a prosecuting attorney charging a person with some offense
  20. What is another term for trial jury?
    petit jury
  21. What is "riding the circuit"?
    a professional who travels a regular circuit of locations to provide services.
  22. What is a brief?
    a short and concise statement or written item.
  23. What is a desicion by the Supreme Court called?
    Rule of Law
  24. What is a precedent?
    a law established by following earlier judicial decisions.
