10 Golden rules when issueing a penalty notice
- Use discretion and approach each situation on its merits
- Ensure you have established prima facie proofs for the offence
- Be presentable
- Be alert, active and prepared
- Be fair, equitable, courteous and co-operative
- Be firm and self confident by not officious
- Be consistent
- Be accurate, ensuring writing is neat and notice is complete
- Be tacticul while maintaining a respectful attitude
