Mineral Rich. The richest of Ag. Soil. Moderate to low rainfall. Found in the A horizon. Grasslands, Pacific northwest. 25% of US soil

Deep strongly weathered red soils. Iron Oxide. Snot suitable for ag.

Acidic soils, Cool moist areas. Coniferous forest. Not good for agriculture. Less than 5% of the US

Stongly leached, acidic soil. Low native fertility. 8% of the earths surface.

Clay rich soil. Poor drainage. Fertile but difficult to till.
