What is the purpose of SOP 4, Predetermined Risk Response and Greater Alarm System?
- To provide a standardised response to fires and/or incidents appropriate with the perceived risk involved.
- To ensure adequate resources are dispatched to an incident to allow the normalisation of the incident whilst maintaining safety standards.

- Special target risks involving very high hazard industrial, commercial or life risks.

- During 0800 to 1800 on normal business days response to A and B risk alarms shall be reduced to 2 pumping appliances.
- An aerial will also respond to any A risk alarm outside Adelaide CBD.
