Seeking God

6 But he gives more grace, therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." 7 submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, ou double minded.

Humble yourselves before the lord, and he will exalt you.

As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. and a woman named martha welcomed him into her house. 39 and she had a sister callled mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. 40 but martha was distracted with much serving and she went up to him and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? tell her then to help me." 41 But the Lord answered her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 but one things is necessary. mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her."

Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving ler your requests be made known to God. 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the lord!

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up iwth wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

So faith comes form hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

I waited Patiently for the Lord, he inclined to me and heard my cry

Blessed is the man who maes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the Proud, to those who go astray after a lie.

o Lord, all my longing is before you; my sighing is not hidden from you.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give your the desires of your heart. 5 commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. 6 he will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and yoru justive as the noonday.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

For it is God who works in your, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 14 do all things without grumbling or qyestioning, 15 that your may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crookedd and twisted generation, among who you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may e proud that i did not run in vain or labor in vain.

among who we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

But he answered, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that come form the mouth of God.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a lightt to my path.

This is the third time i am coming to you. Every charge must be established by the evidence of tow or three witnesses.

whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly

and they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.

The steps of a man are established by the lrd, when he delights in his way

Keep steady my steps according to your promise, andlet no iniquity get dominion over me.

the hert of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

to make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a settling of sliver.
