    • DA: Pectineal line of femur
    • A: Hip Adduction, IR, & Flexion
    • N: Femoral (L2, L3) may receive a branch from obturator nn.

  2. RECTUS FEMORIS
    PA: AIIS (straight head) & ilium superior to acetabulum (reflected head)

    DA: Quadriceps tendon; Patella, tibial tubercle via patellar
    ligament.

    A: Hip flexion, knee extension

    • N: Femoral (L2, L3, L4)
  3. ARTICULARIS GENU
    PA: Inf part of ant aspect of femur

    DA: Synovial membrane of knee & suprapatellar bursa

    A: Pulls synovial membrane sup. during knee ext.

    N: Femoral (L2, L3, L4)

  4. ADDUCTOR BREVIS
    PA: Body & inf ramus of pubis

    DA: Pectineal line of femur & proximal linea aspera

    A: Hip adduction & flexion

  8. FIBULARIS TERTIUS
    PA: Ant inf fibula & interosseous membrane

    DA: Dorsal surface of base of 5th metatarsal

    A: Ankle DF, Foot eversion

    • N: Deep Fibular (L5, S1)
  9. PLANTARIS
    PA: Lat supracondylar line, oblique popliteal lig.

    DA: Calcaneus via calcaneal tendon

    A: Weak knee flex & ankle PF

    • N: Tibial (S1, S2)
  10. POPLITEUS
    PA: Lat condyle of femur, lat meniscus

    DA: Post tibia sup to soleal line

    A: Tibial IR to "unlock" knee, knee flex, retracts lat meniscus

  11. FLEXOR HALLICUS LONGUS
    PA: Inf post fibula, inf interosseous membrane

    DA: Base of distal phalanx of hallux

    A: MP & IP flex of hallux, ankle PF, supports med longitudinal arch

  12. FLEXOR DIGITORUM LONGUS
    PA: Post tibia inf to soleal line, fibula via broad tendon

    DA: Base of distal phalnages 2nd - 5th digits

    A: MP, PIP, DIP flex of 2nd -5th digits, ankle PF, supports longitudinal arches of foot

    • N: Tibial (S1, S2, S3)
  13. TIBIALIS POSTERIOR
    PA: Post fibula, post tibia inf to soleal line, interosseous membrane

    DA: Navicular tuberosity, 3 cuneiforms, cuboid, sustentaculum tali, bases of 2-4th metatarsals

    A: Ankle PF, foot inversion

    • N: Tibial (L4, L5)
  14. EXTENSOR DIGITORUM BREVIS
    PA: Calcaneus (floor of tarsal sinus), interosseous talocalcaneal lig, stem of inf extensor retinaculum

    DA: Med slip: prox phalanx of hallux. Lat slip: join EDL tendons to 2nd-4th digits

    A: Med slip: MP ext of hallux. Lat slip: MP, PIP, DIP ext of 2nd -4th digits
