Sympathomimetic

Epineprine is a naturally occuring catecholamine that increases heart rate, cardiac contractile force, myocardial electrical activity, systemic vascular resistance, and systolic blood pressure and decreases overall airway resistance and automaticity. It also, through bronchial artery constriction, may reduce pulmonary congestion and increase tidal volume and vital capacity.

• To restore cardiac rhythms in a cardiac arrest event
• Allergic reaction / Anaphylaxis
• Refractory to dopamine in a bradycardia event
• Severe Asthma

• None in a cardiac arrest
• Hemorrhagic Shock
• Cardigenic Shock
• Hypertension

• Weakness
• Headache / Dizziness
• Syncope
• Hypertension
• MI / CVA
• Tachycardia

• Cardiac Arrest
• - 1mg IVP / IO 1:10,000 (repeat as needed every 3-5 min)
• - 2-2.5mg ET 1:1000 (repeat as needed every 3-5 min)

• Allergic Reaction / Anaphylaxis / Asthma
• - 0.3-0.5mg 1:1000 SC / IM (5-15 min)
• - 0.5-1.0mg 1:10,000 IVP /IO if SC / IM ineffective

• Bradycardia
• - 2-10mcg / min

• Cardiac Arrest
• - 0.01 mg/kg 1:10,000 SC/IM
• - 0.1 mg/kg 1:1000 ET

• Allergic Reaction / Anaphylaxis / Asthma
• - 0.01mg/kg 1:1000 SC / IM
• - 0.01mg/kg 1:10,000 IVP / IO
