  1. What is the Holy Eucharist?
    Eucharist means thanksgiving and it is the time we gather togeher to thank god for our creation, redemption, and sanctification. It is the center of all the church is and does. It is Jesus himself truly present to us.
  2. Why do we call the Mass a sacrifice?
    It makes present the Sacrifice of Christ on Calvary
  3. Why do we celebrate the Eucharist every week?
    It fulfills the 3rd commandment of keeping the Sabbath holy. It is also the day of Jesus' Resurrection, the new Sabbath that gives rest.
  4. How often do you come to Mass?
    Every Sunday and all Holy days
  5. Do the bread and wine really become Jesus' body and blood?
    yes, it does. It is completely Jesus' body, blood, soul, and divinity.
  6. When did Jesus give his priests the power to change bread and wine into his body and blood?
    on holy thursday, the night of the last supper, before jesus died for me.
  7. who can receive the holy comunion?
    all catholics who have been baptized, have received their first communion, and have no mortal or serious sins that needs to be confessed.
  8. how often should we receive holy communion?
    every time I go to mass, or at least once a year during the easter season.
  9. what are the the requirements for receiving holy communion?
    • There are three requirements.....
    • 1. I must be in a state of grace with no mortal sin on my soul.
    • 2. I must know who I am receiving. this is truly Jesus christ. I must have respect and humility.
    • 3. I must not eat or drink for one full hour before receiving the holy communion
