    • Cigar-shaped yeast form (37C)
    • Slender septated hyphae with conidia clusters (25C)
  2. Where is S. schenckii usually found, and what does it cause?
    • Saprophyte found in decaying organic matter & plant surfaces (gardens, rose thorns)
    • Sprotrichosis
  3. Acute pyogenic and granulomatous inflammatory reaction, papule at entry site, and spreads along lymphatics
    Sporotrichosis
  4. Treatment for Sporotrichosis
    • Cutaneous - KOI (Potassium iodide) orally
    • Systemic - Amphotericin
