Anaerobic
Ocurring without the use of oxygen

Resting heart rate

Plasma
The fluid portion of blood.
Erythrocyte
Blood cell that contains hemoglobin to carry oxygen to the bodily tissues; a bioconcave dis that has no nucleus. Red blood cell
Leukocyte
Cell whose primary function is to combat infection
Platelet
Cytoplasmic body found in the blood plasma that functions to promote blood clotting
Metabolism
All of the chemical processes that take place in the body that are necassary for the maintenance of life.
Endocrine system
System consisting of glands and tissues that release hormones. It works with the nervous system in regulating metabolic activity.
Growth hormone (HGH or hGH)
A hormone secreted by the pituitary gland that affects skeletal growth rate and bodily weight gain.
