  25. Asbergers syndrome
    • starts before or after 3 years
    • No clinically significant delay in language, cognitive, self help, and adaptive behavioral skills
    • impairment in social interaction and behavior
  26. Prevasive Development Disorder
    • starts before or after 3 years
    • Severe prevasive impairment in social interaction, communication, and/or behavior without meeting cirtiea of other disorders
  27. Intellectual disability
    • Described as mental retardation
    • condition of arrested or incomplete development of the mind
    • especially characteruzed by impairment of skills manifested during the developmental period
  28. Brain injury
    • Refers to damage or insult to an individual's brain
    • Most common is a closed-head injury (diffusal) in contrast to open-head injuries (focal)
