  1. Allele
    one possible version of a gene
  2. Homozygous gene (3)
    dominant or recessive.

    -individual contains BOTH, either dominant or recessive

    BB, bb
  3. Heterozygous gene
    individual contains both copies of gene

  4. Dominant gene
    a gene whose expression masks or inhibits the presence of the other gene
  5. Recessive gene
    a gene whose expression can be masked or inhibited by the prescence of a dominant gene
  6. Genotype
    genetic makeup of a team
  7. Phenotype
    physical expression of a gene
  8. Haploid
    one chromatid
  9. Diploid
    two forming chromatids
