  7. KEEL
    Runs in the middle of the ship from bow and the stern. Serves as the foundation or spine of the structure, providing the major source of structure strength of the hull.
  8. HULL
    The water tight body of the ship
  9. WATERLINE
    Where ther hull meets the water surface
  10. BULKHEAD
    A wall within the hull of a ship
  11. SCUTTLEBUTT
    Cask used to serve water or slang for rumor or gossip.
  12. TRIM
    Adjustment of a sail on a ship or a boat.
  13. BEAM
    The most extreme width (or breadth) of a nautical vessel, or a point alongside the ship at the midpoint of its length.
  14. GUNWALE
    the top edge of the side of a boat
  15. THWART
    A strut placed crosswise (left/right) in a ship or a boat, to brace it crosswise
  16. TRANSOM
    The surface that forms the flat back panal of a stern or a vessel
