1. Epicranius: Frontalis and occipitalis -- raises eyebrows
2. Orbicularis oculi -- closes eye for blinking
3. Orbiularis oris -- closes lips and protrudes (kissing)
4. buccinator -- compresses cheeks inward (blow kiss)
5&6. zygomaticus major and minor -- raises corner of mouth to smile

4. lateral pterygoid -- depresses, protracts, and side-side mandible

1. sternocleidomastoid -- pulls head to one side, flexes neck, elevates sternum
2. spenius capitus -- rotates head, bends head to one side, extends neck
3. semispinalis capitis -- extends head, bends head to one side, rotates head
4. Quadratus Lumborum -- breathing, lumbar extension
5. Erector Spinae 3 groups : iliocostalis (lateral), longissiumus (intermediate), spinalis (medial) -- all extend and support
- Iliocostalis lumborum, thoracis, cervicis
- Longissimus thoracis, cervicis, capitis
- Spinalis thoracis, cervicis, capitis

6 Muscles that move pectoral girdle
1. trapezius -- upper: raise scapula and shoulder, middle: pull scapula medially, lower: draw scapula and shoulder down
2. Rhomboid major -- retract, elevate, rotate scapula
- 3. rhomboid minor -- retract and elevate scapula
- 4. levator scapula -- elevate scap
5. serratus anterior -- pulls scapula anteriorly and down
6. pectoralis minor -- pulls scapula forward, down, or raises ribs

1. coracobrachialis -- flex and adduct arm

5. supraspinatus -- abduct arm
6. deltoid -- abduct, extend, flex arm
7. subscapularis -- rotate arm medially
8 & 9. infraspinatus & teres minor -- rotate arm laterally

1. biceps brachii -- flex elbow, rotates hand laterally

6 & 7. pronator teres & pronator quadratus -- rotates forearm medially, pronates
