A system of objects that are not moving with respect to one another.

Frame of reference
Movement in relation to a frame of reference.

Relative motion
The lenght of a path between two points.

Distance
A quantity that has magnitude and direction.

Vector
The vector sum of two or more vectors.

Resultant vectors
The ratio of the distance an object moves to the amount of time the object moves.

speed
The total distance traveled by the time it takes to travel that distance.

Average speed
The rate at which an object is moving at a given moment in time.

Instantaneous speed
The speed and direction in which and object is moving.

Velocity
The rate at whichvelocity changes.

Acceleration
The movement of an object towards Earth solely because of gravity.

Free fall
A steady change in velocity.

Constant acceleration
A graph in which the displayed data forms a linear line.

Linear graph
A grapgh in which the displayed data forms a curved line.

Nonlinear graph.
