  4. What is Observation
    Information DATA gathered through one or more of the five senses
  5. Ask a Question
    Based on observations
  6. Hypothesis
    A possible answer to your question (the if, then statements)
  7. Experiment
    Includes the Independent variable, the Dependent variable, the control and the controlled variables.
  8. Independent Variable
    The one thing you are testing
  9. Dependent Variable
    What is measured (what happened) in the experiment
  10. Control
    Another set-up but the independent variable is left out
  11. Controlled Variables
    • To keep the experiment fair
    • KEEP EVERYTHING ELSE THE SAME
  12. Conclusion
    The hypothesis statemeny is proven or rejected.
