- C5-C6 most common affected
- most often from bulging or herniated disk
- also from muscle strain/sprain from aging, poor posture, lifting, tumor or infection
- cause determined by MRI, xrays, electromyography
Cervical Neck Pain Treatment
- neck & shoulder excercises
- soft collor to stabilize (use <10 days)
- surgery-anterior cervical diskectomy & fusion (ACDF)
- priority is maintaining airway

- ABC's
- bleeding
- vitals
- swallowing
- I & O
- voiding
