- Hallucinations

Overdose: severe respiratory depression or cardiac arrest
**TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE: naloxene
Fentanyl (Sublimaze)
- Pain
- Combined with droperidol (inapsine) produces a state known as neuroleptanalgesia
- Conscious, insensitive to pain, and unconnected with your surroundings
Adverse Effects:
- Nausea
- GI disturbances
- Marked CNS depression
Midazolam (Versed)
- Benzodiazepine
- Sedation
- Rapid onset 15 to 30 minutes
Adverse Effects:
- Dizziness
- Decreased alertness
- Diminished concentration
- Cardiovascular collapse
- Laryngeospasm
Lorazepam (Ativan)
- Benzodiazepine
- Sedation
Adverse Effects:
- Drowsiness & Sedation = MOST COMMON
- Amnesia
- Weakness
- Disorientation
- BP changes
- N/V
*TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE: Flumazemil adm to reverse CNS depression
Propofol (Diprivan)
- Barbituate
- Sedation
Adverse Effects:
- Dizziness
- Confusion
- Unsteadiness
- Circulatory or Respiratory depression with apnea
- Laryngeospasm
- Anaphylaxis
