potential energt stored in the nucleas of an atom
Power
the rate at which work is done
Energy conversions
a charge from one form of energy to another
Matter
anything that has mass and takes up space
Chemistry
the study of the properties of matter and how matter changes
Substance
a single kind of matter that is pure and has a specific set of properties
Element
the simplest substances
Atoms
the basic particles from which all elements are made
Volume
the amount of space that matter occupies or how much room something takes up
Density
measurement of how much mass of a substance is in a given volume, or how many gramd per cubic centimeter
Mixture
made of two or more substances that are together in the same place
Heterogeneous mixture
the different parts are visible
Homogeneous mixture
substances are so evenly mixed you cant see the different parts
Weight
the measure of the force of gravity on an object
Mass
the measure of the amount of matter in an object
Chemical bond
a force of attraction between atoms, formed when atoms combine
Molecule
groups of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds
Compound
a pure substance made of two or more elements combined in a set ratio
Chemical Formula
may represent a compound, showing the elements involved and ratio of atoms
