  9. Flood lights
    Controlled at pump pannel and at generator comparment
  10. Transmission reset
    • If shift to N and stays:
    • Stop, shut down, wait 10 sec, restart
  11. Transmission check and oil
    • Allows eletronic hot check
    • Use cold check first to verify fluid
    • Uses Detron III
  12. Emergency Brake Release
    • Next to Parking Brake
    • Push and Hold
    • Move at 2 MPH only
  13. Hot Check Procedure
    • Temp at 160
    • Idle in N for 2 min @ 500-800 RPM
    • Up and Down arrows simultaneously
  14. Front Aux Brake
    • Use only when engine is running
    • Requires air (not a spring brake)
  15. Ladder rack
    • Requires 6-8 ft clearance to lower
    • Open system, needs daily fluid check
    • Mechanics to fill
    • Officer's side behind rear wheels
  16. Compressor Oil
    • Normal at top 3/4 of site glass
    • AW46 hydraulic oil
    • Contact Mechanics if below min on site glass
  17. Air induction and Axle breathers
    • Deep water can get into these
    • Not deeper than lowest lug nut
  18. Check and Stop Engine lights
    On the dash and audible at pump pannel

    • SEL: High coolant temp, loss of coolant, high oil temp, low oil pressure
    • Shut down ASAP
  19. Checking Oil
    • Wait 20 minutes if running
    • Type: 15W40
  20. Pump Modes
    Pressure- Uses PSG to maintain set pressure

    RPM- No relief valve, notifiy IC and what gauges

    • Waterous
    • Single Stage Centrifugal
    • Freedom (no packing glands)

    • Pump Engaged

    All three green to pump even if manually enguaged.
  23. EFC buttons
    • Idle to return to idle
    • Mode to change from Pressure to RPM
    • Menu to change to/see the settings
    • Mode + Menu to change preset
    • Idle button saves changes
  24. EFC Anti-Cavitation feature
    • Pump pressure drops 30 PSI and
    • engine increases 400 RPM for 5 secs.

    Drops to idle and goes to RPM mode
  25. CAFS Air Compressor
    • Twin Screw Oil Cooled and lubricated
    • 200 SCFM at 160 psi
    • Sends CAFS to 4 preconnect and trash line
  26. CAFS ON/OFF
    • RPM below 1000
    • System air (white gauage below 15 PSI, will not engage if above 30 PSI)
  27. Tools/Foam
    Leave in Foam
  28. Compressor Oil Temp gauge and alarm
    • Normal Temp 160-225 F
    • Alarms at 250 F
    • Oil cooler cooled by water. Check oil daily
    • Needs pressure difference at pump 30-50 PSI to cool
    • Clogged Y strainer can cause overheating
    • Low oil=overheating
  29. Foam Pro Sim-Flow
    • In Flow menu
    • Press up and down arrows together
    • see three bars
    • set total gallonage
    • On to begin flowing
  30. Foam Pro Foam Pump and Tank
    • Positive Displacement pump
    • 2.6 GPM
    • 30 gallon tank
  31. Foam time limits
    50 minutes at 150 GPM @ .4%
  32. Foam GPM limit
    650 GPM at .4%
  33. Intakes (3)
    • Front Suction or LD side suction
    • PIV driver's side
    • Aux suction passenger side (may be PIV)
  34. Intake relief valves
    • PIV and Front suction set at 100 PSI, adjust with crescent
    • Onboard relief set at 50 PSI for compressor cooler to opperate
    • Both are dump valves
  35. Intake valves
    • Front suction- electronic switch, new quantums can dampen
    • PIV- opened manually
    • Auxilliary suction - opened manually and dampened
  36. Discharges
    • 2 1/2 and less are manual and locked to the right
    • LDH intakes are electronic or hydraulically dampened
    • None on driver's side for safety
    • May need to keep pushing button to fully open
