  1. Arnold- Chiari malformation
    • Downward displacement of cerebellar tonsils thorugh foramen magnum which can cause a non-communicating hydrocephalus.
    • There are 4 types.
  2. Dandy-Walker
    • Enlarged 4th ventricle
    • absent cerebellar vermis and posterior midline area of cerebellar cortex (coordination)
    • and cyst formation near internal base of the skull.
    • Warfarin can induce syndrome in the first trimester.

    • - obesity and savage behavior

    • - thermal regulation (coolling)
    • - stimulate PNS

    • suprachiasmatic nucleus

    • - controls circadian rhythms
