  1. Bronchitis?
    amox, tetra, erythro
  2. CAP?
    • Amox or erythro.
    • add fluclox if staph expected e.g. pneumonia presenting with flu.
  3. UTI?
    • trimethoprim or nitrofurantoin.
    • pregnancy: penecillin or cephalosporin (cefuroxime etc)
  4. pyelonephritis
    broad spec cephalosporin or quinolone. e.g. cefuroxime, ceftriaxone, cefixime or ciprofloxacin.
  5. impetigo?
    topical fusidic acid, oral fluclox
  6. cellulitis?
    fluclox (clarithro or clindamycin if penecillin allergic)
  7. erysipelis
    phenoxymethylpenecillin
  8. animal or human bite?
    co-amox
  9. throat infection?
    phenoxymethylpenecillin
  10. otitis media?
    amox
  11. otitis externa?
    fluclox
  12. gonorrhoea?
    cefixime or cipro
  13. chlamydia?
    dox or azithro
  14. syphilis?
    benpen
  15. BV?
    Metro
  16. trichomonas vaginalis?
    metro
  17. H pylori?
    • amox and clarithro + PPI
    • metro and clarithro + PPI
  18. atypical pneumonia e.g. micoplasma?
    erythromycin/clarithromycin.
