-Other CNS depressants (causes prolonged respiratory depression)
-Alcohol
-Cimetidine (increases plama levels of versed)
Dosage
ADULT
1- 2.5 mg slow IVP or IM q 5 mins until seizure stopped
PEDI
.1 mg/kg max 6 mg may repeat in 5 minutes
Pharmacokinetics
Onset=3-5 mins IV
Duration= less than 2 hours IV
Half Life= 4 hours
