    Covered in ribosomes.
  21. Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum.
    Not covered in ribsomes.

    • Hair-like structures that project from the surfaces of some cells.
    • Usually assist in movement.
  23. Flagella
    • A long tail-like structure that is propelled in a whip-like motion.
    • Allows the cell to move.
  24. Nucleolus
    Responsible for making ribosomes.
  25. Cytoplasm
    Cushions all organelles.
  26. Central Vacuole
    A large sac found in plant cells that contains water and wastes.
  27. Chloroplast
    • The site of photosynthesis.
    • Contains chlorophyll.
  28. Ribosomes
    Site of protein synthesis.
  29. Golgi Apparatus
    Packages proteins to be transported out of cell.
  30. Lysosome
    Contains enzymes to break down food, wastes, or broken cell parts.
  31. Mitochondria
    The site of cellular respiration.
