Memory verses

• My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
• Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
• But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

• Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
• But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
• Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; 2While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 3Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
