- Block cholinergic induced bronchoconstriction leading to:
- bronchodilation
- reduced mucociliary clearance
- blocks hypersecretion
Use
- Treatment of COPD (more potent than β agonists but can be used w/them)
- Not for acute episodes of bronchospasm
- Maybe used to treat asthma
SEs 1
- Dry mouth
- Acute worsening of narrow angle glaucoma
- Exacerbation of Myasthenia Gravis
- Mydriasis
