-Seizures (Status epilepticus)
-Sedation prior to painful procedures

Contraindications
-Hypersensitivity
-Acute narrow-angle glaucoma
-Coma
-Shock
-Acute alcohol intoxication
Precautions
-Renal or Hepatic impairment
-Myasthenia gravis
-COPD
Side Effects
-Anterograde amnesia
-Sedation
-Hypertension OR Hypotension
-Blurred vision
-N/V
-Confusion
Interactions
-Other CNS depressants
-Alcohol
-Cimetidine
Dosage
ADULT
1-2 mg slow IVP or IM q 5 mins, max 8mg
PEDI
.1 mg/kg slow IVP or IM, max single does 2 mg. May repeat once after 5 mins

Onset
: 1-5 mins IV, 5-10 mins IM

: 10-20 hours
