- Cooler months, kids 1-24 months
- Localizes in duodenum, jejunum -> destruction of villous epithelium
- life threatening in malnourished kid
- Symptoms: abrupt onset of vomiting, diarrhea
- Duration: 5-8 days
- Infectious: 2-12 days
- Dx: Virus in stool, RIA ELISA, PCR
- Tx: electrolytes, highly infectious
- Prevention: live oral vaccine

- Naked
- Incubation: 1-2 days
- Symptoms: abrupt onset, vomiting, diarrhea
- Duration: 1-2 days
- Older children and adults
- Dx: not usuall done

- Adeno: 8-10 days, 40 and 41, young kids
