  1. What is the only antigenic human glycerophospholipid?
    • Cardiolipid
    • activates IgG & IgM
  2. What is Cytidine Triphosphate?
    provides energy to convert phosphatidate to phospholipids
  3. What is dipalmitoylphosphatydylcholine (DPPC)?
    • major constituent of surfactant
    • at 36 wks should be 2x's sphingomyelin
  4. PLA1
    removes FA from C1
  5. PLA2
    removes FA from C2 & releases arachadonic acid
  6. PLC
    releases PO4 w/head group, leaving diacylglycerol
  7. PLD
    • releases head group from PO4
    • acts in "Salvage Pathway" - remove 1 head group in order to add another
  8. What inhibits PLA2?
    glucocorticoids
  9. Rate-limiting step in Cholesteral synthesis?
    HMG CoA
  10. Rate-limiting step in Bile Acid synthesis?
    7α-hydroxylase
  11. What are the secondary bile acids?
    • Deoxycholic acid
    • Lithocholic acid
    • (reabsorped w/in Portal System to inhibit 7α-hydroxylase)
